Why the company is shaped this way

eLON — Electronic Linked Operations & Networks — is an Addis Ababa technology company built around a single observation: the digital programmes that matter most in Ethiopia are not failing on technology. They are failing at the joins between technologies.

A bank that wants to onboard customers digitally needs an identity platform, a network path to every branch, biometric capture at the counter, and reporting with the evidence trail a regulator asks for. Four purchases, four suppliers, four sets of assumptions. The integration work lands on the client’s IT team, which is already fully committed.

We assembled the capability to cover the whole path under one contract. That decision shapes what we invest in, who we hire, and how we are organised: capability lines that share an engineering practice rather than separate business units that share a logo.

What we are deliberately not

  • Not a box-mover. We do not compete on hardware margin. Where equipment is involved, the value we add is design, integration and support.
  • Not a reseller with a website. Routing policy, platform configuration and template custody sit with us, and our engineers are the ones who change them.
  • Not a consultancy. We deliver and operate. A strategy document with no implementation path is not a product we sell.

Operating principles

  • Verifiable over impressive. If a claim cannot be evidenced to a procurement officer, it does not go on the website or into a proposal.
  • Local by default. Ethiopian staff, local channels and Amharic-language service. Escalation paths do not require a visa.
  • Exit is designed in. Data, configuration and documentation are yours, and a handover plan exists from day one — whether or not you ever use it.
Leadership

The people who sign their name to the delivery

Named technical accountability. In a procurement, you should know who is accountable before signature, not after handover.

Chief Executive

Accountable for contract performance and for the commitments made to clients. Signs the scope that delivery is measured against.

Named on appointment

Head of Network & Infrastructure

Owns connectivity design, outside-plant delivery and managed network operations. Named escalation point for network incidents.

Named on appointment

Head of Identity & Trust

Owns eKYC and biometric delivery, including privacy design reviews and the auditability model that regulators see.

Named on appointment

Head of Data & AI

Owns language model engineering, document and speech processing, and the accuracy measurement discipline.

Named on appointment

Individual profiles, photographs and biographies are published only with the named individuals’ consent. Leadership details are available to procurement teams on request.

Licences & certifications

Evidence, not assurance

Ethiopian licensing for connectivity services is a prerequisite, not a differentiator. What matters is that you can verify it.

Company registrationELON Technology Solutions PLC, registered in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Registration details available to procurement on request.
Tax identificationTIN and VAT registration current and available to procurement on request.
Service licencesLicences relevant to the connectivity and value-added services offered, issued by the competent Ethiopian authority. Licence documentation available on request.
Quality and security postureInternal information-security policy, incident-handling procedure and access-control standard. Certifications are pursued where a client contract requires them. Current certification status available on request.
Sub-processors and partnersAny third party involved in delivery is named in writing with the scope it covers, before contract signature.
Documents, not claims. We do not list accreditations on this page that we cannot hand you on paper. Licence and certification documents are provided to procurement teams on request, so that your file holds the evidence rather than our description of it.
Partners

Who we work with, and on what basis

Technology vendors

International platform and equipment vendors whose products we integrate and support. Partner logos are used only where a written agreement permits it, and are therefore not shown in this model.

Delivery subcontractors

Civil, rigging and cabling specialists engaged for infrastructure works. They work to our method statements and our quality gate, and we remain the single contracting party to you.

Local and regional partners

Ethiopian firms we team with on larger programmes, and regional partners for clients operating beyond Ethiopia. Structures are disclosed in writing before contract.

No implied endorsement. A partner relationship is a commercial arrangement. It does not mean that a vendor endorses eLON, or that eLON speaks for a vendor. Where a client requires vendor authorisation letters, we obtain them for that specific bid.
Careers

Build infrastructure that outlasts the project

We hire engineers and delivery people who are comfortable being accountable for something that has to keep working after they have moved on.

Roles we typically recruit for

  • Network and infrastructure engineers — routing, optical and wireless, with an operational mindset.
  • Platform and integration engineers — APIs, identity systems, on-premises deployment.
  • Data and ML engineers — with Ethiopian language or document-processing experience, or the appetite to acquire it.
  • Project and service delivery managers — comfortable in institutional procurement environments.
  • Field and support technicians — site work, commissioning and fault attendance.

Applications are welcome in Amharic, Afaan Oromo or English. Send a CV and a short note about the last thing you built that had to keep running.

Next step

Bring us the problem, not a specification.

The most useful first conversation is a technical one: what has to work, by when, and what has already been tried. We will tell you plainly whether it is something we should be doing.
